 Built in 1871 The Hormel Historic Home strives to preserve the Home and History of the George A. and Lillian Hormel Family. Today, it serves as a house museum and Peace Garden along with a 220 seat Carriage Hall Event Center. Our house museum is open to the public Tuesday-Friday 10am-4:00pm. Adults are $5 per person and children are free. We feature a kid-friendly tour and scavenger hunt. 

Entertaining Austin since 1929! The Historic Paramount Theatre hosts live performances (music, comedy, plays) and classic movies. Drop in to tour our mini-museum in the lobby detailing our history as one of Minnesota's last atmospheric theatres and watch the stars in our sky-like ceiling twinkle.

Home to over 10 miles of hiking trails that take visitors through over 500 acres of prairies, wetlands and forests. An observation tower provides a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding preserve. The Interpretative Center offers a variety of displays, hands on exhibits and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. Live educational animals allow visitors to get up close to some exciting native species. The Childhood Room features a library, puzzles, games and a great view of the bird feeders. The Jay C Hormel Nature Center offers ski and snow shoe rental in the winter, kayak and canoe rental in the summer and many special events year-round.

Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is meant to honor the sacrifices of southeastern Minnesota veterans, past, present, and future. As a community, we’ve created a special place that honors our veterans, tells the story of conflicts throughout our history, and provides a place for members of the community to come and reflect on the weight of veterans’ sacrifices.

Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is free for all visitors, so the lessons to be learned from our veterans are accessible to all.

The Fairmont Opera House is proud to present season after

successful season of live performances. This historic theater is a significant community asset, adding to the quality of life in and around Fairmont for close to 150 years. The space is used for local and professional plays, live music, arts performances, local

events, and private receptions and gatherings.

 Fairmont Raceway is a 3/8-mile asphalt oval located in Fairmont, Minnesota. The track hosts weekly racing on Wednesday nights, with classes for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and IMCA Sport Compacts.

The track opened in 1962, and has been a popular destination for racers and fans from all over the Midwest. In addition to weekly racing, the track also hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including the IMCA Sprint Car Nationals and the USRA Modified Nationals.

Fairmont Raceway is a great place to catch some exciting dirt track racing. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.  

 Center Creek Orchard is a family affordable, fun destination. Included in the admission are hayrides, Jump Pad, zip lines, superslide, barrel rides, apple sling and more! The Apple Barn offers fresh, locally grown apples and pumpkins without an entrance fee.
